1937

The School Superintendent was Cleveland Moore, in 1937 and the School Board only had three members at that time. The School Board members were J. B. Wilson of Trenton, J. W. F. Jones of Bell and J. H. Martin of Wilcox. The Superintendent’s salary was $150.00 a month. School Board Members received no salary they only received mileage of $4 or $5 per month.

 

1944

In one week five Gilchrist County 17 year-olds enlisted in the United States Navy. Those enlisting were Ralph Smith, Ray S. Barron, Harold K. Mikell, Newton G. Mathews, and Fred Wilkerson.

 

1969

The Trenton J.V. Football Team was coached by Fred Reinartz. The player roster included Mike Lord, Percy Jones, Gene Parrish, David Rogers, Ray Ripko, Earl Lee, Alvin Lee, Duke Lang, Greg Mills, Alan Townsend, Lennon Conner, Elbert Bryant, Ike Gentry, David Ozment, Gary Nolan, Mack Parrish, Alton Langford, Tim Lindsey, Ray Bass, Gary Beach, Alan Langford, James Roberts, Kenny Suggs, John Ayers, Dale Lindsey, Robert Ozment and Mitchell Owens.
