1943

Trenton had a hog market during this time in history. On February 2, 1943 some 700 head of hogs were sold at the Trenton market, Number 1 hogs sold for $13.80 which was up from the week before. Gulf Cooperative Market manager D. D. Faircloth reported the total sale for the day were $15,190.98

1977

Sheriff Roy J. Rodger’s offered a service to senior citizens who were home bound. Those who signed up would receive a telephone call between 8 and 9 a.m. daily. If no one answered a deputy would be sent to the citizen’s home to investigate.

1985

The annual Suwannee River Fair was held at the end of March. Brad Smith of Bell FFA exhibited the Reserve Champion Steer. The steer was sold for $3.50 per pound to Publix Supermarket. Shari Parrish of Trenton FFA won the Department of Agriculture scholarship at the fair that year.
